I hope you and your family are staying safe and healthy during these trying times. It is a difficult time in our history, however, we are very fortunate that it happened in an era of high technology. The internet and cell phones allow many businesses like Amazon, Supermarkets, takeout food delivery services and others to continue to provide services to us, which all limits our exposure to the virus. Apps such as FaceTime, Facebook, Zoom, Go to Meeting and cell phones in general allow us to stay social but at the same time practice social distancing.
It is a difficult time for all of us, and I wish I could say it will be over quickly but unfortunately it will continue for several months yet in some form or another. We can either bemoan our fate, “why did this happen to me?” or we can be grateful for the many blessings we have. I am grateful that our government moved quickly and limited the exposures. I am grateful that our doctors, nurses and all of our healthcare professionals, including hospital cleaning staff, have stepped up to the challenge and are operating at their maximum, bravely doing their work. I am grateful for the essential businesses that have stayed open to help us get through this crisis. I am grateful for my family and friends who have reached out to offer help and comfort. I am grateful that we have come together as a society during this time of crisis!
I am still working, staying safe wearing gloves and masks and using technology, since there are many people that require my assistance. There are several types of individuals in the market today. Those who sold their home in the early part of the year and have to buy a new home; those who purchased new construction homes that are now ready for occupancy and have to sell their homes; those who have need to sell for personal reasons such as financial or divorce; those who couldn't qualify to buy a property before but now that interest rates have gone down can now qualify and are taking advantage of this time to purchase. Now you can see why real estate has been classified as an essential service. The good news is that a surprisingly good real estate market exists. In my company we sold over 600 homes last month, 300 in the last 2 weeks of March.
Please stay safe, keep your family close where you can, stay in touch with those who you cannot physically see and lets all take care of and help each other.
We will get through this….. together!
