The holiday season is here, and once again our community has shown just how generous and caring it can be. Over the years, the Fill the Mini Toy Drive has become one of my favourite annual traditions - a chance for all of us to come together and support the incredible kids and families at SickKids through the Children’s Miracle Network.

This year, thanks to your overwhelming support, the hospital shared that they are in great shape for toys. That’s entirely because of you - your kindness, your donations, and your willingness to show up for families who need it most.🎁❤️ 

Urgently Needed Items Beyond Toys

While the toy shelves are full, there are still several essential items that SickKids is in urgent need of - items that don’t typically come to mind when we think of a holiday toy drive. These essentials make a huge impact on families spending long days, nights, or even weeks at the hospital.

Requested Items Include:

• Toques: 0-18 months, 2-4 yrs, 4-6 yrs, 6+ yrs, and adult
• Scarves: 2-4 yrs, 4-6 yrs, 6+ yrs, and adult
• Mittens or Gloves: 0-18 months, 2-6 yrs, 6+ yrs, and adult
• Travel-sized toiletries: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body cream
• Deodorant
• Diapers & wipes: Newborn, Size 1, 2, and 3
• Adult toothbrushes & travel-sized toothpaste

Gift cards:

• Gas, groceries (PC, Metro, Walmart), Tim Hortons, Starbucks, Uber Eats, Indigo, Happy Teen, Amazon
• Grocery gift cards are especially needed right now

These items help families feel supported and cared for during what can be an incredibly stressful time.

How You Can Help

If you have any of the items listed and would like to donate, I’ll be collecting everything and doing one large drop-off directly to SickKids. Together, we can make sure families have what they need this season. 🙌
